Fort Worth Christian was a very aggressive team with an offense that executed extremely well. The TAPPS Division II runner-ups were also set on avenging their loss to Hawks a year before. The theme of the night was execution and potential.

“They are a good team. They fought hard for that win, but we could’ve played better and we definitely had plays that showed our potential,” said Max Shieferdecker, quarterback for the Cistercian Hawks.

The Cardinals outlasted the Hawks 48 – 14 in a character-building loss. All of the coaches stressed that the Hawks needed more physicality in the future as they regathered their team to focus on the next game.
