Hungry for a conference win, the Hawks were ready to go against a good St. John’s team in Houston. Max Talkington made a long field goal attempt that proved to be the difference. In a back and forth game the clever run game of St. Johns proved no match for the Hawks’ defense. Sid Reggie dove on a fumble near the end of the game allowing Cistercian to run out the clock for a 24-21 victory.
