Varsity Soccer vs ESD

Not many believed in the Hawks matched up against the back to back SPC Champions, who hadn’t a match in 2 years. Few of the current players were around to witness the Hawks historic, nearly perfect season end in heartbreak as they fell to the Eagles in the 2014 Championship by the score of 2-0. Head Coach JP Walsh used these memories as motivational fuel going into the January 29 SPC counter match.

Despite supposedly being “top dog”, the Hawks thoroughly outplayed ESD, but was unable to find the back of the net. Although the game finished as a tie and gave one point to both teams, Walsh after the game told his team, “We can compete with any team in this conference. Their coach knows we outplayed them and they’re lucky to get out of here with a point. I keep telling you guys, there’s not one team that is a ton better than everyone else this year. We might not be the most skilled team, but we will work harder than every team.”
