In modern history, the American people have tended to make important decisions based on feelings rather than analytical or statistical facts. This has led to a shift in culture where politics has become more about how much you can insult your opponent rather than if your policies align with the American ideas of freedom, self-determination, and opportunity. This has led to a need for an unbiased and solely statistical approach to the 2024 presidential election. Whether based on agreeable policies, past success, or highly approved future promises, I firmly believe that Donald Trump will win the 2024 presidential election.
Based upon the data from Gallup.com, Trump’s economic policies seem to be heavily favored even when compared to those of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Based on his economic approval spikes, Trump’s handling of the economy during his term seems to be very popular with Americans, despite the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even after one of the lowest points in US economic history, Trump was able to increase the national GDP by 60% compared to prior quarters of 2020.
Besides economic prowess, Trump’s border plans were also favored compared to Biden’s actions by almost 10% at its peak. Both of these comparisons allow us to analytically see the country’s opinions rather than base them on what our small circle believes is important. Not only does this give us a more non-partisan view of the issues, but it also allows us to put words into numbers which can make decisions and judgments more logical.
Based on the ideas stated by Paul C. Light, Americans are looking for government reform. His description of reforms includes government action. This action can be taken in two different directions; either, prevention or remediation. Biden and Kamala’s past policies have been mostly actions of remediation. These actions include establishing laws to keep families together if one member crosses the border and deploying naloxone more readily. But these policies treat the effects of the issue, not the root cause. Because Americans want results from those actions, and because big results can only be seen through prevention and the overall ceasing of an issue, Kamala’s policies will make Americans dissatisfied. On the other hand, Trump’s policies of action, including constructing walls to prevent illegal immigration, will lead to the permanent and long-lasting change that Americans want.
One of Donald Trump’s most recognizable accomplishments is his success on Wall Street and other business enterprises. These victories, even though they don’t directly align with the occupation of a president, gave him valuable experience that he can use to determine the proper course of action in heated political situations. An example of this is Trump’s renovation of the Grand Hyatt Hotel. This hotel had started to spiral into despair when its old owners, the Penn Center Railroad, decided to sell it to Trump for a small profit. Trump took this hotel and turned it into not only one of the most famous hotels of all time but also one of the most successful. And not only has Trump done this with other businesses, he’s also done it with the American economy. After the collapse of the economy in 2020 due to the pandemic, Trump was able to properly reallocate funds to allow the economy to begin to recover. These series of actions prove that Trump not only learns from his mistakes but actively uses them to affect his present decisions.
We need change. This is only possible if we follow what we need and listen to facts. Donald J. Trump will use all his power to listen, and based on his past victories and plans of success, he has a high chance of winning this election. Even though many people may use false information or unrealistic statistics to refute his chances, by observing the facts we can see that Donald J. Trump will win.
