Prom or Prawn?

Jake Fitzgerald, writer

Spring means different things to everyone at Cistercian. To the middle schoolers and underclassmen, it means it is almost the end of the school year. To juniors and seniors, it means Prom, or this year, “Crustacean Prawn 2017”, as some of the student council members have called it. This is because the dance is downtown at the Dallas World Aquarium. Dance-goers besides dining and dancing will be able to explore the aquarium with their dates. “That is why the seniors picked the venue”, says council member Chris Odom. “The aquarium was the only venue that could provide such a unique experience”.

The student government members are not the only ones excited. Junior Roland Limosnero said, “my entire life has been leading up to this one night with my dream date”. Even Fr. Augustine is looking forward to it, hoping that his table will be next to the manatees. With all this excitement, many are getting ready, ordering tuxedos and organizing pictures. However, some people are still trying to find dates. Despite the frenzy, the dance will come together as it always does. Now, everyone just has to have a fun, safe, and hopefully not awkward night with the fish.
